$50,000 in grants available for young Flint residents to help make city green.

This summer, the young people of Flint will get to decide how to spend $50,000.
The money comes from the Bloomberg Philanthropies Youth Climate Action Fund, which has provided the same amount to 100 cities around the globe this year.
Through the YCAF, 15-to-24-year-olds can apply for money to use on small-scale projects.
The individual project grants will range from $1,000 to $5,000.
