$100,000 Grant to Support Arts & Artists

The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation invites applications for its Knight New Work initiative in Florida, Akron, and Detroit.


Through Knight New Work 2024, grants of up to $100,000 will be awarded in support of artists and arts organizations in South Florida, Akron, and Detroit who use technology to create, disseminate, and enhance the way art is experienced. The creation of new work can be in any artistic genre but must use technology in the creation and/or dissemination of the work.


Individual artists, artist collectives, and arts organizations of all genres are eligible to apply. Applicants must be based in or have direct ties to South Florida, Akron, or Detroit and proposed works must premiere in the applicant’s community.


Virtual information sessions for all cities will be held on June 17, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. ET and on June 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. ET.
