MacKenzie Scott Gives Grants

She has already given away more than many of the world’s richest people.

In 2025 alone, she gave around $7,100,000,000 to roughly 180 to 200 groups, making her the most generous individual donor that year.

Today, she ranks third in lifetime giving in the United States, behind Warren Buffett and Bill Gates, despite having a much shorter timeline.

Her approach is different. Through her platform, Yield Giving, she provides large, unrestricted grants, meaning organizations can use the money however they believe will make the most impact.

Her focus includes education, poverty, racial equity, health, women’s rights, and climate, often supporting smaller and underfunded groups that are usually overlooked.
